
Join special guest instructor Betz White for an adventure in upcycling, the Vintage Re-mix Wrap Skirt Workshop. You’ll transform favorite vintage linens into a cute reversible skirt for spring. Combine tea towels, table cloths, retro sheets or fabric from your stash into a one-of-a-kind addition to your wardrobe.
Betz is the author of Warm Fuzzies and Sewing Green and she has appeared on The Martha Stewart Show and been featured in Craft Magazine, Country Living and Cloth, Paper, Scissors. Her bright and whimsical style will have you inspired to create a lot out of a little after this fabulous class! Copies of Sewing Green will be available for sale from Betz at the workshop.
Prerequisite:
Confident beginners welcome, basic machine sewing skills recommended.
- 7 tea towels (at least 22” long) OR 1 lightweight tablecloth, at least 48” x 48”, OR 4 pillowcases, OR 1 1/2 yards of 45″ woven cotton fabric (for outer skirt)
- 1.5 yards of 45″ woven cotton fabric (for lining)
- 1 pkg of bias quilt binding, 1” wide, double folded
